Belt Buckles & Big Hearts

Skijor Galore is an annual winter family event where skiers are pulled by horses through a course—all to support the Curious Cottage Preschool and community programming at the Rey Cultural Center.

What started as a grassroots effort by two parents, Steve and Michelle Larkin, has grown into a New England tradition: 50 racers ages 7 to 70, 15+ horses from across the region, hundreds of spectators, and belt buckles for fastest time, best costume, and most money raised. Last year, the event raised $15,000 for the Rey Center.

We’d love for interested media outlets to cover the story—and experience it firsthand.
